To give Cristal Room Baccarat a new lease of life, Luderick gave the place a new look, starting with a new design. Gone is the Philippe Starck embellishment, replaced by a Jacques Grange design. As for the menu, the restaurant has abandoned the dishes of the multi-star restaurant Guy Martin in favor of the cuisine of chef Mathieu Mecheri. Mathieu Mécheri, who worked with Chef Stéphane d’Abboville at Mini Palais, offers fresh, creative, gourmet dishes inspired by the history of the Cristal Room Baccarat crystal factory.

It all starts with an appetizer and is essentially one of the chef’s signature dishes; the amazing and delicious Secret Egg is reduced to its beautiful velvety wood mushroom sauce.

The tasting continues with delicious and melting chunks of grilled monkfish with Colonna bacon, stuffed consiglioni and basil pistou. A great dish with a Mediterranean flavor that really tempted my taste buds.
For the female customer, fish is the star of this menu: pearl cod with vegetables in a chorizo broth, baked scallops accompanied by endives and citrus fruit, or turbot with celery mousseline and coconut milk.
Carnivores will be wowed by one of the restaurant’s star dishes: roast lamb saddle, cooked to perfection, and its bulgur with dried fruit and harissa.
Also try the 300g veal chop with Roseval gratin or the crispy sweet, semi-cooked tetragons with balsamic.

The gourmands that we are, we couldn’t resist the presence of desserts, on the other hand, for cocoa lovers like me, the all-chocolate Cristal, based on praline chocolate in several forms (liquid, cold, layered …) and the other, a souffle: Mirabelle with plum liqueur from Lorraine.
