Baccarat X Pokemon – Baccarat once again takes the lead among cooperative games! This time, they’re celebrating Pokémon’s 25th anniversary with a special collectible of pop culture icon Pikachu. Japanese artist Hiroshi Fujiwara redesigned Pikachu for Baccarat into a work of art, with a limited edition of just 25 produced and priced at $25,000. The statue is 11.8 inches tall and is made of crystal.

Fans who want to spend less can purchase a 5.7-inch Pikachu figure for $440 and a 2.7-inch-tall crystal Poké Ball for $410. Poke Balls are items used by trainers to capture Pokémon. (Though we don’t have to tell you!) The pieces can be purchased online or in select Baccarat stores.

Baccarat also announced today that they will be partnering with 1/ST to become the official trophy supplier for the sixth annual Pegasus World Cup, which will be held on January 29, 2022 at Gulfstream Park in South Florida. The “Transparent Pegasus” worth $34,500 will be awarded to the winner of the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational, and the “Black Pegasus” worth $42,500 will be awarded to the winner of the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational. With Pikachu at the center of the series, Baccarat approached Japanese artist Hiroshi Fujiwara and showed him his vision for the Pokemon, which is now faithfully reproduced in crystal form, with sculpted facets that sparkle in the light. The Pikachu pieces represent the unique skills of Baccarat craftsmen who multi-dimensionally cut and engraved the “electric” logo of Pikachu’s iconic tail. However, it’s quite expensive – it retails for $35,280 and there are only 25 units made worldwide. The only one in Singapore!

For more casual fans, the medium-sized Pikachu and Poké Balls are still a good deal if you want to spend some money on crystals. The collectible features adorable Pikachu with arms outstretched and tail poking out from behind, while the Poké Ball is adorned with a small gold mesh, perfect as a paperweight or luxury display piece. The Pikachu Crystal will retail for $610 and the Poke Ball will retail for $560.
