Casino 1995 – Inspired by real events and real characters, Casino celebrates Vegas before it was clean and tidy. Martin Scorsese has taken another challenging, if not perfect, journey into the fascinating and violent world of Crime Inc.
Experienced assistant Sam “Ace” Rothstein (Robert De Niro) is always good at making money from gambling. In the early 1970s his midwestern Mafia associates, supported by the Teamsters, rewarded him with their own Las Vegas casino, the Tangier, to operate. Ace runs a tough cartel, takes down low-level criminals, gets rid of crooks, and maximizes profits, becoming an honorable man in town, until ‘Vegas respects everyone.

Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci) was Ace’s violent sidekick on the way to the underground, and Ace isn’t too happy when Nicky goes to Vegas too. Ace marries professional spy Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone), a beautiful but money-hungry jeweler who has an uneasy relationship with junior spy Lester Diamond (James Woods). Ace’s life finally begins: he insults errant local power brokers and escapes Vegas’ licensing requirements; Nicky’s violent ways reflect badly on Ace’s business; and Ginger steals a blind eye and runs away with her daughter.
Completely True Events The Movie Casino Is Based On
Developing the visual style of GoodFellas, Scorsese brings out the front end of Casino with lots of color, movement, and color, the interlude narration by De Niro and especially Pesci adding sharp humor and lots of personality. Scorsese recognizes in the sights, sounds, rawness and limitless greed of Vegas as the perfect playground for criminals looking for a cell of respectability while looking for easy profits.
The final third of Casino slows down, the bad relationship between Ace and Ginger drains the life out of the film. The crime and casino elements lie behind the intermittent melodrama of Ginger betraying Ace at every opportunity, and his refusal to cut him out of his life decidedly against his sharp judgement.
Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci play off each other with an ease born of intense professional experience. After Raging Bull and GoodFellas, Casino represents his third collaboration with Scorsese, and once again the characters Ace and Nicky share a destructive relationship. They need each other, but can still trade insults and hurtful messages back and forth. Casino lives off the energy of De Niro and Pesci, the former wanting to escape a life of crime and the appearance of respectability, the latter more interested in maximizing profits in a city that rewards criminals.
Ginger may represent the pinnacle of Sharon Stone’s acting career, and she deserves to hold her own against De Niro and Pesci. Ginger embodies Ace’s only weak point, and Stone takes the role with gusto, earning an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress. Ginger’s obsession with material wealth and the ability to manipulate men fit perfectly with Stone’s screen persona, with Ginger’s extra spice having a blind spot in the form of Lester Diamond. The relationship between Ginger and Diamond adds an undeniable tension to Casino, but the underdevelopment also represents a missed opportunity.

At about three hours, Casino runs through the available material. But the best moments leave a lasting impression, and while the film doesn’t deal with the king’s flow, it does convey an all-house crime syndicate. He knows that the inner workings of an Italian crime family are fascinating to those who eagerly pursue knowledge of what goes on beneath the surface and even more so to those who happily ignore its ethereal existence. It doesn’t really matter if I remember the advice of the vampires in “Blade”, but whatever. A group that is everywhere but never seen and their blood is soaked in everything. The vampire community needs money to get blood, but it needs blood to get money.
From the beginning, “Casino” makes its presence known. Robert De Niro’s character Sam “Ace” Rosthstein leaves the Casino in a bright pink suit and sits in his rusty car, which immediately bursts into inferno. It is this level of unexpected shock that drives the story of “Casino”, when something happens in the future or you realize that there is a small direction of the plot, you will remember where it will end, and it sets the conditions. and conditions. everything is very interesting. at the beginning also explains why so much of the story is told through voice-over narration, especially in the first hour.
Sam Rosthstein tells us about his past adventures before the grave, which began in the 1980s when the crowd flocked to Las Vegas. The story is also led by Joe Pesci’s character, Nicky Santoro (who we’ll talk more about later) who does a great job. The first thing I mentioned is told almost entirely through visual and audio storytelling, the film lives and dies on two things: The characters and the Mob mix. Therefore, a third of our film is devoted to filling these gaps. It’s amazing how the film can carry itself for so long without much plot development, and I attribute this both to the image in our head of the car bomb, and to the fact that what we’re being told is so well written. and interestingly. . .
This time we are introduced to the character of Ace, a player with high ratings. He knows everything about gambling and we are told how he could pick up on details that no one else cared about, such as wind speed and how a playing floor affects the roll of the ball. Most importantly we are told that Ace always wins.

His efficiency with money and the gaming industry attracts the attention of the public, who sees fit to be appointed as the de facto president of Casino Tangiers, which will be possible by exploiting a loophole that means Ace is never needed. permit, he only needs to apply for one. He accepts the condition that things should be done
Of course, Sam’s method makes money. which should be “cut from the top” and paid to the patrons once a month, so long as it is all will be well with Sam. That’s how it works, but the Tangers’ impressive success forces the bosses to employ protection, and Nicky Santoro is the leader. Nicky is a real case, going against Ace’s methodical and rational business strategies, Santoro is violent even when he is only slightly motivated and won’t stop hitting. In the words of Ace, “if you’re going to hit him with a gun, you better kill him, because he’s going to come back and come back until one of you dies. “
The third main character is Ginger (Sharon Stone). An ex-whore who values money above everything else in the world, she can only be satisfied when someone places a portrait of Benjamin Franklin in her palm, and her wallet and shoes. Ace immediately falls in love with this girl, and soon he wants to marry her. He can only sway her by offering large sums of money to support her, she quickly accepts and they have a child together.
These are the three pillars of the film, and each contributes to the future of the other. While Ginger runs into serious alcohol and drug problems, Nicky takes a lot of heat for Ace’s almost perfect activities, and also refuses to stop seeing her former pimp Lester (James Woods). Ace’s unrequited love for Ginger keeps them together, but the relationship soon becomes strained and Ginger becomes a loathsome character, a character Sharon Stone could portray with repulsive glee.

“Casino” is ugly but not cheap. There are several scenes that lead to off-screen beats, but that’s the intended effect. Not for a panic factor, but as a gut response that tells you that what is happening is wrong. It leaves the viewer clearly unfazed by the prospect of working in this bloody business, despite the money and respect, bones must be broken.
There is one scene in particular that will definitely make people cringe, but the effect is not lost on the eyes, which will definitely show that Scorsese is doing his job more than right. Even if you watch – which I did – Scorsese has to be respected for his slowness when filming these scenes. Gory images are only left on the screen for a second at most, with most of the impact being allocated to what we hear and our imaginations.
The following story is about the FBI getting closer and closer to the job as well as the relationship between Ginger and Ace.
