Cristal Baccarat Restaurant

Cristal Baccarat Restaurant – Imagine a room with sparkling crystal chandeliers, white linen tablecloths, exposed brick walls, intimate lighting and a fun-sized chalkboard. French designer Philippe Starck has transformed the former dining room of Marie-Laure de Noailles’ sumptuous townhouse into one of Paris’ most romantic restaurants.

La Crystal Room Baccarat, located on the first floor of the Baccarat Museum in the 16th arrondissement, is one of my favorite places to take friends for lunch. Heidi from Switzerland and Caroline and Cathy from Boston succumbed to the charm of sipping wine from the iconic Harcourt 1841 glass, one of the oldest in Baccarat’s archives, while savoring the culinary style of Michelin-starred chefs Guy Martin and Adrian Manock.

Intrigued by Sala Cristal’s new fall menu, I was delighted when Elodie agreed to join me for a leisurely lunch to take a break from her busy work at the Paris Visitors Bureau. After careful deliberation and a couple of consultations with our charming waitress, I finally decided on smoked eel with leek foam and a quail egg for my starter. From the moment I took my first bite, Elodie’s news of Christmas lights and an ice skating rink on the Champs-Élysées on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower during the holidays was eclipsed by an exquisite combination of flavors in the mouth.

By the time our dishes arrived, Elodie and I had dropped all pretense of talking about upcoming events in Paris. “Cité Lumière” My roasted pork loin and braised cheek served with mushroom and bak choy and Élodie’s lamb, cumin carrot puree, dates and lemon juice. Our desserts, Pear Souffle with Williamine Sorbet and Black Forest Cream Cake with Manjari Chocolate Sorbet proved equally enticing.

Insider Tips: After lunch, be sure to visit the Baccarat Museum. Entrance fee is waived when dining at Sala Cristal. If asked, the language of the picture shown in the first room of the museum will be changed to English. It shows the steps involved in making a baccarat crystal.

Before you leave, check out the baccarat shop on the ground floor. It is beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Baccarat celebrates its 250th anniversary with an exhibition at the Crystal Legend, Petit Palais. Masterpieces by the world’s most famous crystal makers will be on display at the Grandes Galleries from October 15, 2014 to January 4, 2015.

The Crystal Room Baccarat Room on the second floor of the House and the Baccarat Museum have a lot to offer. With a robust modern decor signed by interior designer Jacques Grange, the restaurant unveils the cuisine of Chef, Mathieu Mechery, who knows perfectly well how to tickle our taste buds with a refined, gourmet and creative menu.

La Cristal Room Baccarat

Crystal Room Baccarat has got a new look in 2017. Housed in a former palatial residence in the capital’s 16th arrondissement, the establishment is now headed by the Luderick group (Mini Palais in the Grand Palais, Ralph’s in Boulevard Saint-Germain, Cafe des Concerts or Champex in La Villette (in Les Halles).

To give Crystal Room Baccarat a new lease of life, Luderick gave it a new image, starting with a new decor. Fine is the decoration of Philippe Starck, replaced by the creation of Jacques Grange. And it is an openly more modern and colorful environment, which is now showcased with the creation of a magnificent bar on the second floor of the building. Baccarat chandeliers and sumptuous works are always displayed in the restaurant, for example on the ceiling, fireplaces or on the tables.

As for the menu, the restaurant has ditched multi-star restaurateur Guy Martin’s dishes to honor Chef Matthew Mechery’s cuisine. Mathieu Mechery, who worked with Chef Stéphane d’Abboville at Mini Palais, offers fresh, creative, gourmet cuisine inspired by the history of glassware at Crystal Room Baccarat.

We cannot hide the fact that it was the most beautiful and juicy gastronomic experience we had the chance to live.

Everything starts with the appetizer and especially one of the chef’s signature dishes; A surprising and delicious secret egg is enhanced by its fine velvety wood mushroom sauce.

The tasting continues with juicy and melting slices of roasted ramp with colonna bacon, stuffed consiglioni and basil pistou. An excellent dish with Mediterranean flavor literally captivated my taste buds.

For female customers, fish is the star of this card, pearl cod with vegetables in chorizo broth, duo of endive with endive with citrus fruits or scallopelle appetizer with turbot cooked in meunier with wax mousseline with milk. coconut
