Marina Bay Casino – I don’t gamble, but if there’s something new to see, then I’ll go even if it’s a casino. Singapore recently opened the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, and the area includes both shops and a casino. They came from Las Vegas and brought the concept here, and I must say, I felt like I was no longer in the island nation of Singapore. Even restaurants and casinos come from Las Vegas. The casino has 500 tables and 1500 slot machines. Imagine how big it is. This is a mega gambling empire.
After a meal of a very delicious, excellent steak at the newly opened restaurant “Cut” (I will write about this tomorrow), my dear friend in Singapore took me to see the casino from a bird’s eye view. We were standing on the third floor balcony overlooking 500 tables. The feeling is the exact opposite of what I did before.

At first sight you will be surprised and surprised. It’s all curves and a huge field of light. For a few seconds, I didn’t realize what I was seeing until my senses began to adjust. Then you will see. Suddenly it seems like this to you. There are hundreds of tables under all the curved lights in the middle of this large indoor space, which for some reason reminds me of the idea of the future. When you look even closer, you will see that they are covered in green or blue and make cards. It really gives a stand-up feel. I feel like I’m part of a science fiction movie. The yellow lights and curved walls give it a whimsical glow.

Then, as your eyes adjust to seeing, your ears suddenly become aware of a strange humming sound moving gently through the air. It doesn’t sound like the sounds you hear in Japanese pachinkos, but instead sounds like a monotone “e” sound that hums and rings softly. It plays and somehow I feel it pass through me. There’s a kind of eerie silence that makes up this monotonous “A”, mixed with the sound of slot machines and people playing blackjack. Maybe because I’m standing where the sounds meet, the effect is a little delayed, but it’s still a strange feeling.
We are taking photos, but at the slightest use of flash, a security guard in a black suit with wires in his ears prevents us from taking photos. We leave as quickly as it appears and head for home.
