Rohit Sharma Becomes Fourth Batsman To Hit Double Ton In Both Odis And Tests
He hit four sixes off four legal deliveries by Suranga Lakmal in the 44th over, a streak broken only by a wide ball.
The attack on Lakmal came during a series in which Rohit smashed 150 runs with seven boundaries in just nine balls.
Expectations of reaching 200 were high after he took three consecutive fours off the bowling of Nuwan Pradeep in the 47th over, and he started the final over in the 191st over.
A six and two to start put him within reach and he completed another two balls to reach the milestone, much to the delight of the Mohali crowd.
