Rohit Sharma’s frenzied rant on Kuldeep Yadav over DRS issue during IND vs AUS 3rd ODI starts meme fest
Rohit Sharma’s reaction to Kuldeep Yadav’s DRS issue has spawned several rib-tickling memes that are sure to put a smile on your face.
India captain Rohit Sharma was at his usual best in the series decider against Australia on Wednesday. Rohit was seen expressing joy, anger and frustration in the first innings as India bowled against Australia after Steve Smith won the toss in Chennai. Rohit was a busy man as he faced the disappointment of Shubman Gill’s catch early in the innings, but his confusion soon turned to joy as India staged an extraordinary comeback with Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav eventually losing. Australia scored 269 runs. The target left India 21 runs adrift, but that didn’t stop his reaction and expression, which was on top throughout the day.

Some of Rohit’s golden expressions were caught on camera while Kuldeep bowled. The left-armer’s decision calls have disgusted Rohit twice – once when Kuldeep didn’t accept the review and again when he did. Rohit couldn’t believe the decision against the review after Kuldeep hit Alex Carey on the pads. Carey was bowled on the first ball and stand-in wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan got up quickly along with Rohit and Virat Kohli at slip. However, neither the umpire nor Kuldeep seemed convinced. Kuldeep’s lack of support shocked Rohit Shell. Rohit had no choice but to stand by the umpire’s decision, but after seeing three reds on the big screen, Rohit was furious.
“It’s a good scream, no wonder, Rohit saw it in the footage. And he looked uncertainly at Kuldeep. He’s screaming,” Ravi Shastri said on air.

After a few breaks, the exact opposite happened. This time, Kuldeep opted for a review against Carey, and although the impact was visible outside the off-stump, the spinner persuaded Rohit to take the DRS. With a smile on his face, Rohit signaled for a ‘T’ but seconds later, before the call was referred to the third umpire, skipper Kuldeep was seen fuming over the decision. As expected, the bump went off and India lost the DRS, after which the camera once again turned to Rohit. An angry Rohit said a few words to Kuldeep who was returning to take his place on the field.

Rohit’s throwback to Kuldeep’s DRS woes has spawned several rib-barking memes that are sure to put a smile on your face.
Despite being dismissed by his captain, Kuldeep played a key role in restricting Australia to less than 270 when at one stage 300 looked imminent. After squandering two chances against Kerry, Kuldeep finally dismissed the Australian wicketkeeper with a blistering spinner.
Kuldeep’s brilliant leg break was a dream feat for any chopper to flatten Carey and knock him off stump. With Kuldeep taking 3/56 and supported by Hardik’s 3/44, Australia fell short of their expectations as Mitchell Marsh gave them a shaky start.

Kuldeep’s childhood coach Kapil Dev Pandey has given a lot of credit to current Indian captain Rohit Sharma for the leg-spinner’s rebirth.
Kuldeep Yadav has made a sensational comeback for his new franchise Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League this season. The leg-spinner has been going through a rough patch over the past few years and lost his place in the Indian limited-overs squad after stunning performances in IPL 2019 and 2020 for Kolkata Knight Riders. Last season, Kuldeep missed the main part of the tournament due to a knee injury. He was released by KKR before the auction and signed by Delhi Capitals for a base price of INR 2 crore as this season proved to be a revival for Kuldeep who has scored 17 goals in 9 matches so far.

The last few years have been tough for Kuldeep professionally as he was not given many chances in the Indian team and injuries forced him to withdraw from the second half of IPL 2021.
Kuldeep’s childhood coach Kapil Dev Pandey gave much of the credit for the leg-spinner’s revival to current Indian captain Rohit Sharma as he felt the 34-year-old showed great confidence in his abilities during the tough phase.
“When the captains believed in him, Kuldeep attacked. He got good results in his exams. He has scored two hat-tricks in ODIs. His T20I record is good. However, he could not get enough opportunities. It’s really shocking. Kuldeep’s career is safe because of Rohit Sharma.
