Virat Kohli 50 Century List: Virat Kohli Broke Sachin Tendulkar’s Record, Scored 50th Odi Century Against New Zealand

As he got up from his knees, took off his helmet and gave the Mumbai crowd a standing ovation after hitting a record 50th ODI century, the Indian superstar looked at his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, and kissed her.
He turned to Sachin Tendulkar, his cricketing hero and the man who broke his own record inside the Wankhede Stadium.

He was soon cheered on by football icon David Beckham, who failed to improve on his first visit to India.
Kohli continued his dominance in the tournament he created by hitting his stride in the Cricket World Cup semi-final against New Zealand on Wednesday.
There were unbeaten knocks of 103 against Bangladesh and 101 against South Africa, but this innings of 117 stood out the most, breaking a record that many believed would stay there.
The 50-year-old Tendulkar, the highest run-scorer in ODI and Test cricket, scored his 49th ODI century in 452 innings. Kohli, surprisingly, surpassed this mark in his 279th innings and 291st ODI.
Virat Half Century
Tendulkar was his childhood cricket idol. After India won their second World Cup title in 2011, Tendulkar carried Kohli on his shoulders across the Wankhede.
No wonder Kohli was emotional on Wednesday when he edged New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson over backward square leg for two runs. He raised his arms as he jumped high, then knelt down and looked up at the sky.
“To see a piece of history with the atmosphere today, it’s a goose,” said Beckham, who is in India as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and attending the first game of the Cricket World Cup. “Before the match starts, you leave here and you feel that something special is happening.
“My partner, the person I love the most, is sitting. “My hero, he is there. I finished 50 ahead of all of them at this historic place.”
Virat Kohli Total Half Century In All Format
The 35-year-old Kohli, nicknamed ‘The King’ in India and perhaps the most famous cricketer in the world, has completed 15 years of his ODI career.
In December 2009, he scored 107 off 114 balls against Sri Lanka in Kolkata, and in the tri-series against Australia in Hobart, he hit 133 not out from 86 balls against Sri Lanka in Hobart.
He scored a career-high 183 against Pakistan in 2012, followed by the fastest ODI hundred for an Indian batsman in 52 balls against Australia in Jaipur in October 2013.
While Kohli has scored three hundreds in the current tournament, he has scored only two hundreds in three World Cups so far.

He finished the group stage as the league’s leading scorer with 594 and an average of 99. This indicator has now reached 101.57.
“Honestly, it all feels like a dream to me,” Kohli said. “It’s too good to be true. I never thought I would be here in my career.
“It was a great game today and I had to play a role throughout the tournament so that the guys around me could perform.
