Yesterday Ipl Match Result 2023, Winner And Match Report
With a seven-wicket win in the final of IPL 2022, Gujarat lifted their maiden IPL trophy in their first attempt. Meanwhile, Rajasthan failed to pay due respect to their first captain, the late Shane Warne.
After bowling first, Hardik Pandya led the front for GT and claimed 3 wickets for just 17 runs. Three big scalps of Jos Buttler (39), Sanju Samson (14) and Shimron Hetmyer (11) held RR to 130/9.
In the chase Shubman Gill (45* off 43) and Hardik (34 off 30) put on a crucial third wicket stand of 63 runs. David Miller (32* off 19) then struck the final touch as the Titans cruised home with 11 balls to spare.
Rajasthan could have had Gill first when he chased down a length ball from Trent Boult and took an inside edge on his thigh. The ball goes to front square leg but Yuzvendra Chahal fails to hold on to the chance. Prasid Krishna Wiriddiman Saha (5) gave RR hope as he cleaned up with a good length delivery and found the gap between bat and pad.
Who Won Yesterday Ipl Match 2023: Match 4
Matthew Wade’s poor IPL 2022 ended on a sad note as he missed out on the Test of Boult. The ball never seemed to come off the bat and the left-hander was caught short for eight minutes. GT finished their power with 31/2 as the RR bowlers kept their team in the game.
Run-rate is not an issue, Gill and Gujarat skipper Hardik have fought intelligently. They turned the signal when it hit the odd boundary between them to make sure the pressure was right.
Ravichandran Ashwin then introduced in the 12th over. Hardik hits it for a four and a six in a row to bring up the fifty-run spot.
An unstable partnership crumbles when Chahal leads Hardik into battle. But after Hardik’s dismissal, Gill and Miller completed the formalities without a hitch. Miller looked good again, hitting three fours and a six.

Fighting patiently for the most part, Gill emphatically sealed victory for GT, pulling Obed McCoy for maximum at deep square leg.
Gujarat skipper Hardik was restricted to 130/9 by Rajasthan with figures of 3/17 and batted first. Apart from Buttler (39 off 35), none of the batsmen were able to contribute meaningfully as GT dominated the proceedings.
After a slow start, Yashasvi Jaiswal gave some momentum to the RR innings as he hit two sixes. However, he smashed a short ball from Yash Dayal to deep square leg to end the match with 22 off 16. Samson fell with his partner, trying to pull a ball that wasn’t good enough. He could only send the ball to short third man.
Some well-timed boundaries from Buttler Mohammad Shami saw RRR reach a respectable 71/2 at the halfway mark. However, from that point everything went wrong for the batting side. Devdutt Padikkal could not find any momentum in the game. He was dismissed for two runs off 10 balls, which Rashid Khan shorted to third man.
